Alexandra Warshaw is a new comer to the world of presentation art. A few years ago Alexandra
saw a brief segment on the concept of Polaroid Manipulation on a TV news program, she was so
fascinated she taught herself this unique art.
First, a special Polaroid camera and film are used to take the photo. Then the Polaroid is
immediately exposed to the sun or another type of heat source until the emulsion becomes
pliable. The next step is to use a tool to manipulate or maneuver the emulsion until the
desired effect is achieved. Alexandra chooses to use a golf tee to accomplish a softer, less
defined look.
"I have met only a few other artists who work in the same medium and each photo is a new
experience with its own process and life." — A.Warshaw
